In September of 2000, Bikram Yoga was introduced to Dallas at the original studio on Mockingbird Lane. And in less than one year, dedicated yogis filled the space to capacity, which led to a new, expanded space just a short walk from the first studio. Twice the size. Two-times the students. Under the guidance of David & Karen Buckner, Bikram Yoga Dallas continues to thrive and will celebrate it’s 9th anniversary in just a couple of months.

In February 2002, Stacey Stier opened Bikram Yoga Grapevine to instant success with the studio growing from 2,300 to 4,000 square feet. Later that summer, Bikram Yoga Fort Worth was opened by husband-wife team Gregory Sanders and Kristyn Volmer. As the only hot yoga in Fort Worth, the studio has an ever-growing class schedule to accommodate their ever-growing class sizes. And in 2007, Yassi Maige opened the newest studio – the sleek and spacious Bikram Yoga Richardson.

Four studios, more than 50 certified teachers and 40,000 students later, the Dallas-Fort Worth Bikram community is alive with transformational energy and the commitment to sharing it.

That’s why each year our studios come together to host special events that increase awareness about Bikram Yoga and the healing benefits of a dedicated hatha yoga practice. From the Texas Yoga Asana Championship and Senior Teacher Posture Clinics to White Rock Marathon & Expo and Labor Day Free Day of Yoga, the Dallas Bikram community is dedicated to opening the door to these benefits to as many people as possible.

Bringing Bikram Choudhury to Dallas is the greatest opportunity for the greatest number of people to learn about and share these benefits.
